International Students Information

Bill Lennon advises that any student, post-doc or faculty member on F, J, or H1 visa, who is leaving the USA this semester must have a letter from their department, adviser, or supervisor stating:

  1. that they are still full-time at Tulane and on payroll
  2. what their function is: e.g. research assistant in Pathology
  3. that they are leaving on authorized vacation or business and are expected back by a set date
  4. a statement that although classes are not being held, the lab.center, department is functioning (it could be in another city) as a recognized part of Tulane.

We have already "rescued" two Canadian law students who evacuated home and were refused re-entry for the reason that "Tulane University is closed this semester, so your travel documents are invalid"
