*PLEASE DISTRIBUTE WIDELY
The effects of the Hurricanes have pervaded everyone from the hardest hit campuses to those institutions that suffered little physical damage. Yet, we must go on ......
Currently LaSPACE has RFP's out for the Graduate Student Fellowship program and for the Research Enhancement Awards program. ( see http://laspace.lsu.edu/ <http://laspace.lsu.edu/> ). The Due dates are imminent! However, for many, achieving those dates has become impossible. Therefore, LaSPACE has developed a policy for due date(s), i.e.
* F L E X I B I L I T Y
*1) We will accept proposals for the Fellows and REA sub-programs until the end of October (then we will proceed with a review process).
2) If you are from one of the affected institutions, you may still submit, without the university's sign-off. (We will sort out the signatures next semester.) The same applies to transcripts (for Fellows) ...... if unavailable just tell us.
3) If you are interested in submitting, and are from one of the affected institutions, and cannot make the end of the month date, send me a brief Notice of Intent by e-mail ( wefel@phunds.phys.lsu.edu ). We will then work out the details.
4) We are prepared to handle individual problems as they arise ..... please give us a call or send us an e-mail.
As usual, comments/questions are welcome ................ JPW
